Our Client brought us a design concept that included Bali Style Wings! at either end of this building are 2 large wings that for part of the roof structure to provide all weather protection for the private courtyards. Through the centre of the house is a dividing roof of 45 degrees with a cathedral ceiling.
This seemed to be quite a challenge from a conventional design standpoint, however we decided that all we could do was to create it on site. Once we got our head around a few key dimensions the rest of this roof section grew off the walls literally!
The wall heights are all 2700mm and the all windows and doors are German Double glazed units, not normally fitted to our metal frames and as they have no reveals caused a lot of thinking to get around another challenge.
