Our Customer SMA Projects approached us with the challenge of being able to design a cost effective solution for a multi level project at St Andrews Beach on the Mornington Peninsular.
The House was designed by SJB Architects to take advantage of the sloping block and to provide much natural light, while being suited to the surrounding area.
The house is set on 2 main levels with several levels in between.
It has been constructed on a sand dune and is in a designated Bush Fire Zone. The brief was to make the house look like it was floating above the ground.
The house will be clad in Copper with other highlight finishes.
Owing to problems with the site survey we were confronted with an extremely steep block that required several retainer walls to be constructed in order for us the build the subfloor area. The stumps at this point varied from 200mm to 5500mm.
